The other day Korey and I went driving. We used to do that when we were dating. We would just hop in the car and head for the mountains. We usually ended up on a bumpy dirt road for hours. It was so much fun and some of my most fond memories with Korey. There is something about exploring together and making our own adventure. This particular drive took us to Amicalola Falls. I didn't have my tripod with me, but I still had some fun playing with the settings on my camera. I just love the look of water with a slow shutter speed.
The falls were enormous and beautiful. I never could find the right angle to really capture it.
As we were walking down the steps after looking at the waterfall, Korey noticed something metal under the stairs.
Can you guess what it was?
Then we drove up to the lodge which has an amazing view.
On our way home we stopped by Carodel Farms. Dr. Mixon and his wife, Caroline, have a beautiful farm where they raise alpacas. Alpacas are amazing animals and it was so much fun to see them up close.
Every one of them seemed to have a unique personality and style. At times it almost seemed like they were posing.
Although they let me take their picture, they are very shy animals and were not up for being petted, at least by me.
Did I mention that Korey is also an alpaca whisperer.
OMGoodness, I LOVE the pictures you take! I'd blow up that waterfall pic and frame it! Also, it's so awesome that Korey is an Alpaca whisperer. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI would love it if Korey would raise Alpacas and make me some more scarves! The one I got from Peru is sooo soft!
ReplyDeleteOh And the picture that you wanted us to guess...Chad and I think it's an old car bumper.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! It was nice meeting you two out at Caroline's place!
